Strengthening

Cervical, upper back and arm strength are key factors in preventing and treating neck pain. Our therapists will teach appropriate strengthening techniques to develop stability in the region and lessen the likelihood of recurrent pain.

Postural Instruction

Neck and low back pain may be avoided through appropriate standing and sitting posture.  Our physical therapists are trained to evaluate posture and recommend postural correction techniques.

Ergonomics

Proper workstation placement is key in prevention of work related neck pain. This is especially true for patients who have sedentary jobs with significant periods of sitting before a computer.

Our physical therapists are certified in the evaluation of a wide variety of work settings. We can make recommendations to ensure proper office ergonomics including assessment of the computer equipment, desk and chair. We can also recommend techniques for proper lifting and avoiding repetitive use injuries.
